Post a little bit about yourself in this thread! I want to get to know the other users of the site.

Here goes:

I’m Jim, I built this site, and I work on websites all day long. I play in a post rock band (who doesn’t?), and I ride a bike. I like strong coffee and metal.

I’m Justin, I helped design this site’s identity and I’m a graphic designer by day. I play in a band called Eschatol with Jim and Phil and were currently attempting to record an album. I enjoy fonts, bicycles, hats, colors, Chicago, and my friends. I also love all types of music, please share some new stuff with me!

I’m Phil, a Chicago native and city admirer. I work at a leather tannery (the last one in Chicago) and basically spend half of my work day being blinded by numbers in excel and the other half fixing problems on the floor.

Like Jim and Justin, I like bikes and music – additionally I like video games and embarrassing things like dragons, swords, progressive rock, and internet forums.

I’m going canoing this weekend – maybe this will become a future hobby

Hi, my name is Jon, I am addicted to mountains outdoors, and extensive views of Green and Blue. I work downtown where steel and mortar allow me to pay for my lifestyle of exploration.

I love music, I majored in Voice and am currently a member of the Wicker Park Choral Singers. I enjoy dragons as well and play an extensive amount of video games. I don’t know how I feel about progressive rock.. I get stuck on the classics Rachmoninoff, Geswaldo, Chaikoffski, and Led Zepplin.

Right now I am a slave to my work until I save up enough vacation time to dissapear for a month.

While I am making a good deal of money right now and am very sucessful… I am currently looking for an attractive and incredibly sucessful woman who wants to be the bread winner of the family, so I can be a stay at home Dad.

My name is Jesse and I am a 4 year denizen of Chicago. I studied audio arts and acoustics in college and am currently a bicycle mechanic. I enjoy watching more vegan friendly restaurants pop up around town and riding my bicycles. I am also in the band Eschatol and like listening to Jim, Phil, and Justin talk about this website.

I’m Jacqueline, I’m originally from Detroit but I’ve lived in Chicago for the past three years and I love it (well, in the summers - the winter temps, not so much). I’m a writer/blogger who has worked with a bunch of different companies, both local and national/international.

Things I like - trying all the different restaurants and bars (especially the hole-in-the-wall types), the Bears, and Goose Island beer.

hi, I’m Lyndee… I just joined. I’m not even in chicago yet (but I will be 08/21! whoo hoo). I’m going back to school, studying theatre with a concentration in acting, and I’m engaged. we’re childfree and have a kitty named fluffer.

I like… painting, reading, movies, randomness, scrabble, bowling, crafty projects (which I never seem to finish!), musicals, chai lattes, veggie soup and sandwiches. oh, and I like my fiance…. sometimes.

My name is Ana and I’m from Chicago. I am a student studying illustration. I enjoy riding my bike and cooking. The three things that I think about most are the following: comcis, cooking and/or food, and apparel (creating).

My food ambitions are eating at French Laundry, meeting Anthony Bourdain, Rick Bayless and Thomas Keller.

I’m Jeff. My hobby is collecting hobbies. The newest one is modifying circuits and building guitar effect pedals. I have no idea what I’m doing but it seems to be working out ok. Parts are mostly very cheap - so it’s all good.

What else? prog guitar player, home-brewer, dad, traveller, food-eater, movie-goer, skater, photographer, painter, computer art-maker, carpenter, music collector, blah, blah, blah-er.

Favorite recent shows were King Crimson and God Is An Astronaut.
